Steamed Chicken with Mushrooms….yummy!!

Woohoo… looking at some recipe lately… this is one of the dish.. steamed chicken with mushrooms!!! Didnt know it will turn out so well…wahhahaa… First try..I give myself 8/10. Those people who know me long enough should know I dun really know how to cook … hahaha.. hey.. but this dish is really good… very easy… if i can do it I think most of the people can..heeehee.. a good try for me.. yummy..
Recipe
Steamed Chicken With Mushroom
- 1 Chicken (or any parts of the chicken you like.. I use Chicken wings)
- 8 Dried black chinese mushroom (put more if you like). Soaked in hot water for 10 mins to soften.
- ginger
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 tablespoons rice wine
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 2 tablespoons finely sliced spring onions
- put chicken and mushroom into a bowl.
- process the ginger and water in a spice grinder or pound ginger in a mortar and mix with water to form a paste. press with the back of spoon to extract the ginger juice. sprinkle the ginger juice, rice wine, soy and oyster sauce, sesame oil, suger, salt and pepper over the chicken and mushrooms, massaging with your hand to mix well. stir, then cover and refrigerate 1 hour.
- put bowl inside a steamer filled with water. Steam over medium heat for 30 - 40 mins until chicken is cooked. Add spring onions to garnish and serve hot with plain rice.
